Get to know the Team


The Trust team at Grab handles fraud detection and prevention for all of Grab’s core business lines. The team’s mandate spans research, development and deployment of best-in-class protections across different user flow in the Grab ecosystem, to ensure that fraudulent actors are kept in check while friction for genuine users remains low.



The Identity team at Grab is responsible for handling the authentication of entities across the Grab ecosystem, be it users or services. By constantly evolving the tools and techniques used in verifying requests before they are handled, this team plays a pivotal role in keeping the ecosystem protected.

The Safety team is responsible for ensuring that Grab continues to be the safest platform on the market. The team works on high-impact and high-visibility products that fully serve our customers in their time of need, further our business strategy and grow our competitive advantage.

GrabDefence is a B2B SaaS platform that makes Grab’s fraud detection and prevention technologies available externally for enterprises. Drawing from Grab’s own experience operating in various verticals across the region and battling different kinds of fraud at scale, GrabDefence seeks to help companies build trust in their platforms and on digital ecosystems as a whole.

Based in Grab’s headquarters in Singapore, we are looking for experienced individuals who are customer-centric and data driven, able to think holistically, communicate well and are great team players.

Get to know the Role

  • Develop innovative and best-of-class products that uniquely serve our consumers, driver-partners and merchant partners. 

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, analytics and data science to define an ambitious product strategy, develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog, and execute on delivering great experiences for users.

  • Define and communicate product requirements and specifications by thinking creatively and rigorously about how to solve problems that have never been solved before at this scale.

  • Partner with product marketing and business counterparties and other stakeholders on innovative and well-defined go-to-market plans.

  • Launch minimum-loveable products based on quantitative and qualitative data on user behaviour and experimentation, as well as being able to continuously iterate your product to enable a more delightful customer experience.

  • Define success metrics and consistently measure the impact of your work.

The Must-Haves

  • 3-5 years experience in product management or equivalent roles at a tech software company, with demonstrable success in launching new products / features with clear impact.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Excellent analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Empathy for users and a drive to discover and resolve their pain points.

  • Excellent business acumen, customer-centric, team and results-oriented.

The Nice-to-Haves

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in technical fields such as computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields.

  • Demonstrated success in building platform products in industries such as mobility, online food/grocery ordering, parcel delivery, e-commerce, payments or mobile consumer products at scale.

  • Experience designing product strategies for a certain product area/scope.

  • Solid ASEAN/APAC exposure.

  • Entrepreneurial or startup experience. 

  • Experience working with distributed teams.
